Parents need to protect their children from online predators and potential dangerous situations. Talking to children/students about the Internet, having discussions about both the good and bad facts will keep them safe online. Most importantly parents need to get online themselves - take a course at a local high school or college. Set up a family computer support group in their neighborhood and meet weekly or monthly and share concerns, information and resources or assist in Tech Nights at their child's school.
