Sand Harbor Beach
Easy Access, Parking Fee, Lifeguards!, Restrooms, Picnic Areas. At a separate entrance, and away from the beach swimmers use, there is a boat lauch facility.
On August 5, 2009, however, the boat launch at Sand Harbor State Park will close for this summer season. Officials will close the boat launch because of low water levels in Lake Tahoe for this summer.
The boat launch will be closed only to motorized vessels, remaining open to kayaks and other carry-in boats, Inspectors will remain at Sand Harbor to inspect those vessels for invasive mussels, with those inspections free of charge, at this location.
Nearby Cave Rock boat launch will remain open.
