The North Tahoe Beach Center is a 2.7 acre site that includes 540 feet of shoreline and is owned by the California Tahoe Conservancy, maintained by the North Tahoe PUD and managed by the North Lake Tahoe Resort Association (NLTRA).
It is located at the intersection of Highway 267 and Highway 28. North Tahoe Beach underwent a complete renovation in 2003 that included the construction of new restroom facilities and 3 beach volleyball courts. A group picnic shelter that includes a BBQ, running water and seats 90 people was also constructed at that time. The shelter is available for rent for weddings, parties or picnics through the NLTRA 530-581-6900, for use by individuals on a first come, first served basis when the facility is not rented.
The NLTRA also maintains a seasonal visitor information booth at this beach, in the summer months, to provide information to visitors to the North Tahoe area that enter the Basin via Highway 267.
