 Labor Day Weekend at Lake Tahoe 

South Lake Tahoe

Family activities abound on Labor Day weekend at South Lake Tahoe.  Events include the Great Lake Tahoe Sternwheeler Race, the inaugural Mighty Tug Boat Race, a Fireworks Extravaganza, the Big Ol' Fishing Derby, and now, Air Fest 2003.  (see our Calendar for details)

On Friday, August 29th, there's a
Garden Party, for children ages 5 to 11 years old at the Tallac Historic Site.  Learn about etiquette and manners of children in the 1920s while crafting a stylish hat, then head to the gazebo in the Pope Arboretum for lemonade and cookies. 

 



  Kings Beach to Tahoe City
This arts & crafts fair is held on the beach right in the middle of downtown Kings Beach. You can't miss it. Lots of exhibits! The park and beach next to it are fun too.

Among the activities you'll find at the
North Lake Tahoe Regional Park, will be  the 2nd Annual Tahoe Mountain Sports Disc Golf Tournament held on Saturday and Sunday.

In Tahoe City, enjoy Family-friendly
live musical performance free at Commons Beach. Bring a picnic, low-back chairs and enjoy great music in the ultimate Lake Tahoe environment –on the beach.


Northstar-at Tahoe
Bring the little ones to the  Northstar Labor Day Street Fair and Sidewalk Sales for some family fun with clowns, face painting, balloon twisters, stilt walking, and bounce house!  Roller skating too!  Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings Northstar offers free outdoor movies.
