We do give families Babysitters’ resumes with the knowledge that a Famliy might use a sitter again, without compensation to us. Please remember though we can’t guarantee that a Babysitter will be available to families on an on-going basis. We can only guarantee a Babysitter's availability on the date or dates confirmed by a Private Search. No, the Availability Charts are there to give Families an idea of when Babysitters are, generally speaking, available. Because each Babysitter handles their own scheduling, it is possible that the date and time you want has already been scheduled by that Babysitter.
If you need a Babysitter to be confirmed available on a certain date and time, you should request a Private Search. With a Private Search, we confirm that a Babysitter will be available on the requested date or dates. Each confirmed date will have a charge associated with it. (that charge is something we're still working with to provide the lowest possible price while still realizing a profit.)
No, each Babysitter is effectively in business for themselves. Babysitters are independent contractors, and not employees of TahoeKidsGuide.com. All details of Babysitter's job are to be arranged between the Family and Babysitter. TahoeKidsGuide.com will not accept payment on behalf of Babysitters. We also do not receive any portion of the money earned by the Babysitters. The Family will need to pay the Babysitter directly. (A typical hourly rate for Babysitters in the Lake Tahoe area is $15 per hour. There are, however, factors that might make an increase, or decrease, in this rate appropriate.)

A few weeks of advanced planning is probably the farthest in advance we can offer. With a few exceptions, Babysitters in our area are "seasonal". The Babysitters available in the summer/fall months tend to be different than the Babysitters available in the winter/spring months.
